ABSTRACT:

Ultra low frequency filters with hertz and sub-hertz cut-off frequencies are very desirable in environmental and biomedical sensing applications. We have worked on various approaches to achieve low Gm-C filters. One of the approach uses current splitting to achieve low transconductances. Another approach is to use sub-threshold regime to realize Gm stage, with active Gm biasing circuit that is tolerant PVT variations.Yet another variation is to use a combination of bulk-driven topology in weak inversion with very low transconductances
