Dr. Sonkusale wins NSF CAREER Award

Dr. Sonkusale won the prestigious National Science Foundaiton CAREER award given to scientists and engineers early in their academic career. The award for $400K will fund research on "Nanoelectrochemical systems on silicon" for 5 years. Click here for direct link to NSF website.

NanoLab Receives Best Poster Award at ISDRS

Sam MacNaughton and Dante Demeo (advised by Dr. Sonkusale and Dr. Vandervelde) were selected from a field of over 110 to receive the Best Poster Award for Semiconductor Device at the International Semiconductor Device Research Symposium (ISDRS).

The poster was entitled Wet Chemistry Based Copper Oxide and Zinc Oxide Nanowire Photovoltaic Cells.  ISDRS is a biannual conference on innovations in the fields of semiconductor materials and devices held at the University of Maryland at College Park.
